To achieve the BREEAM rating of Excellent, Adams+Collingwood included photovoltaic cells on the roof, a rainwater harvesting tank below the playground which supplies grey water to the new and old buildings, a green external wall which is also watered from the tank, a heavily insulated fabric that also encloses part of the previously un-insulated existing building.
