Robert Collingwood practiced on his own account in London since 1999 when he returned from Prague after selling Collingwood and Partners to a major UK based plc.

The Prague practice employed 25 staff and was well known in the region for its projects such as Vrchilckeho brewery site redevelopment, apartment buildings in Rybalkova, the Lycee Francais de Prague, the Italian Embassy, offices for Gillette, McKinsey, Ogilvy and Mather, European headquarters of Squire, Sanders and Dempsey LLP, retail premises for Mothercare, Next, and local retailers, cigarette factory for RJ Reynolds and many conservation projects and refurbishments of important historic buildings in Prague’s historic Old Town, Vinohrady and Mala Strana areas.

Robert Collingwood lived and practiced in Prague from 1992 to 1999 and was authorised and registered as an architect in the Czech Republic in 1995.

Prior to this he was for 10 years a director of the London based practice Jestico & Whiles with whom he was responsible for projects including British Embassies and residences in Riga (Latvia), Bratislava (Slovakia), British Council premises in Prague and Bratislava and conservation projects such as the Ericson Palace and 57 Wenceslas Sq.

During training he worked for Powell Moya and Partners, GLC architecture department and as a site engineer for GE Wallis Contractors.
