Following the highly successful Phases 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the school completed in 2000, Adams + Collingwood were instructed to carry out one more phase on the transformation of the Beak Adams 1956 school building into a state of the art primary school.

The brief was to demolish the existing single storey music department and administration offices and create a state of the art music and drama centre. We not only achieved the brief requirements but also resolved what was a poor entrance into a stunning entrance courtyard and internal mini atrium in a scale suitable for the diminutive size of the primary school pupils.

The building was not only designed to a high quality but was also achieved on budget and on time without disruption to the school terms. No mean feat considering the proximity of the works to the working areas of the school.
