Adams + Collingwood Architects has completed a new boathouse for Bryanston School in Dorset.

The building sits on the banks of the River Stour and is split into three elements – a low boat shed, a clubroom on the first floor and an open viewing balcony.

Robert Adams, who rowed for Bryanston while he was at school there, said: “The scale of the river here is quite modest, but the brief required a fairly large volume of boat storage, as well as a smaller amount of training and spectator space”.
