Project Description

V&A Trolley

Location: London
Year: 2000
Client: Victoria & Albert Museum

This unusual product design commission came about when the V&A approached Robert Adams in 1998 to solve the problem of how to provide a central coffee point in the museum’s basement café. Robert had been part of the previous café design team and used his knowledge of the space to create this practical solution.

The V&A Trolley features in our publication 25 Projects, celebrating our first 25 years of practice from 1992 to 2017. Find out more and read the book on our website here.
